I knew the owners/builders of the home at Hermitage and Weddington. And I lived across the street for years. Jean Lathrop told me Marilyn Monroe lived down the street.. not at her property. That part of North Hollywood has gone back to it’s old name.. Valley Village. That’s why you see that name on the old Post Office on Magnolia.
Sounds like you had a long history in the neighborhood. Apparently Marilyn Monroe did live in a nearby house. Preservationists tried to have the City declare it a landmark, but the City rejected the application. The house was demolished a while ago.
